What is the NC, What is its Purpose, and Who is Involved?
UWC depends on the volunteers who dedicate their time to selecting students who would be a good fit for UWC and allocating scholarships to those students. These volunteers make up a team named the “National Committee”. Iran’s National Committee(NC) is made mostly of UWC alumni and Community leaders who have embraced UWC’s mission and values who dedicate their time to contact colleges for scholarships, plan the selection process, allocate them to the selected students and later on nominate the selected students to their colleges.
What is the Purpose of the NC?
The NC focuses on the following activities:
- Selection of the UWC candidates and nomination to a College place
- Promote UWC to prospective students and parents
- Support students and their parents/families
- Support graduates/alumni
- Maintain relationships with College administrations and the International Office of UWC
- Fundraising to support the running of the NC and increase the number of partial or fully funded scholarships
- Creation and edition of newsletters and other content and media

Who is involved
A fabulous group of people consisting of alumni and community leaders who believe in the guiding principles of the UWC movement and share a passion for Iran, the Iranian youth, and Iranian culture. They dedicate substantial amounts of their own time to make sure that the vision of the NC becomes a reality.
There is always more that can be done, and we encourage you to participate and join our group. Contact us here info@ir.uwc.org .
